It’s nice to see the fresh and interesting designs for the cards. These cards look great! This idea of city-specific cards is something that Starbucks has already launched in some of the international markets. Some of my readers might remember my previous blog post mentioning that Kyoto Japan has their own city card. I am sure that there has also long been a London card, though I don’t have one in my collection.
Thank you very much to the loyal blog reader who sent me the Chicago card. And thank you to the blog reader who sent me the image of the Vancouver card.

Hi Paul! No there is not a website to simply purchase all these cards. Well, at least not a Starbucks website. Ebay is probably a good place to look for them. I think part of what makes them precious is that they’re both in limited supply and a little hard to get. Sorry! Try eBay!

@Melody: I know you likely do not want to be a go-between! for this stuff BUT, if you’re willing, and @kiara and @Linda still want a “Chicago” card…I have 2 I can send right now…and probably can get more. So, if you want to send me their e-mail addresses …….or vice versa, I can send them ??? let me know…(or them) It’s no big deal for me and I do think the Chicago card is one of the most attractive and also good of the city. (altho I realize this is not necessarily anyone may want one) Thanx for your assistance.

Just to be clear about at least SOME areas that have ‘city’ cards…or had. At least in Chicago, these cards came out early last spring sometime. There were a number of them out in many Chicago area Sbux, but not all. (I was told they were given to the Sbux that also have the Chicago city mug, but not ALL the Sbux with the mugs. ) In any case, I had quite a few for a while, which I shared with quite a few friends, and now have only my own. Since I was born and raised in Chicago, and now live in its nw suburbs, obviously I’m not giving my only out my only one. These are not cards that are continually (here, at least) being produced and added to the stores (altho I think they should be standard!). If you happen to find a store with any in the Chicago area, consider yourself lucky.
Also, I doubt that Melody intended this site to become a trading ground for the cards….altho just recently I contributed to that myself…..thinking I would share what I had left.
So, whatever worked out for whoever wanted whatever….I’m glad. But, that’s about it for my involvement. It was never about “trading” to me initially at all…it was just sharing what I had.
