It’s nice to see the fresh and interesting designs for the cards. These cards look great! This idea of city-specific cards is something that Starbucks has already launched in some of the international markets. Some of my readers might remember my previous blog post mentioning that Kyoto Japan has their own city card. I am sure that there has also long been a London card, though I don’t have one in my collection.
Thank you very much to the loyal blog reader who sent me the Chicago card. And thank you to the blog reader who sent me the image of the Vancouver card.

I see Starbucks went a little nuts with the city cards. I will never collect them all. But I can certainly try. As long as OC cards remain available locally, I wiil trade them for:

@Linda: sorry, I parted with the last one I had last time on Melody’s blog. If I had another, other than my own (hometown), I’d be glad to send it. Good luck…if I see them ever again, which I doubt since there are now new ones out…but they’re nothing like the one pictured here…just block letters that remind one of the marquee of the CHICAGO theatre. (altho if I see those I will get a couple…you might want one?) Likely Melody will do a follow-up on the cards, I’m guessing and you’ll see the new one. Nothing like the one with actual city-scapes.

If you are not familiar with Google+ you may find it to be a great way to keep in touch with old friends and find new friends and ideas. It’s not a replacement of Facebook, but rather a different approach to socializing. I find it incredibly helpful.

Ponzu, I really would appreciate the Chicago card if you can part with it. I’m from Chicago and now living in Las Vegas. Also, is the San Diego card available? My daughter will be going there for school in August. I have a London card with the British Flag in the background and Big Ben and the Chinese Happy New Year 2013 year of the snake if you would like both. Please let me know.

Sorry if I gave you the wrong impression. I am not the “Chicago” guy, I am the “OC” guy. As far as SD, I would love to get it myself, both last year’s and this. I hope that does not mean driving 80 miles south to SD. I am still waiting for someone to offer SD cards here so I can get in line. If I am ever down that way, I will pick one up for you.

I have to report that OC cards have been swept clean off the shelves. Hope more are coming. After I took care of three SBM contacts and one RL friend, I am left one extra card. My “wants” are listed in the chart I linked. Feel free to add yours.

@Linda and @kiara: I can likely get you both (as long as I still find them) the new (2012…but just came out recently) the Chicago card. Looks like letters from the CHICAGO theatre marquee. (not very impressive but if you’re from Chicago, and no longer live here….would likely be meaningful) Let me know.
I’m not ‘in it’ for these trades but would love a London card…studied there for a semester wayyy back, and my sis ter and her family lived there for a while…so, have been there a few times…but not recently. Love the town (London) tho.

Are there any 2010 SF cards out there? The ones with the Golden Gate and a tram? And the 2012 card with “Painted Ladies”?
I have the new OC card, as well as 2012 Texas and some other cards that others have offered.
And of course I have dozens of other, non-city, non-state, non-country cards for trade. We have not explored that possibility yet 🙂
