Christmas at Starbucks is here, and so I thought I would collect all of my blog articles talking about Christmas in one place. Every blog article that I have written that touches on Christmas of yesteryear is listed here. I thought it was pretty fun to look at the holiday seasons over the years! Hope you enjoy! What do you want to see at Starbucks next year for Christmas?
The mug featured in this blog post dates from Christmas 2001 at Starbucks. To be honest, it was something I found at a Goodwill, but it’s so pretty that I had to get it. I love the ingenuity and careful thought that went into this mug. It is a good example of the creativity in merchandise that I would love to see back at Starbucks.
- What Christmas merchandise do you want? (Features photos of Starbucks Christmas mugs and a tumbler dating back to the 1990s.)

- Starbucks Italian Hand Made Christmas Pottery – 1990s era merchandise
- The Starbucks Snow globe – 1999 Christmas collectible. (Scroll down to see snow globe.)
- Starbucks Christmas Blend – Advertising from 1991.
- Christmas Blend arrives today (old blog post from November 2009).

- I’m super excited about Huxley Mouse – From Christmas 2010.
By the way, now is a great time to mention the good work done by the non-profit Angelwish. Starbucks (in very limited districts) has partnered with Angelwish to bring toys to children with a chronic illness. The Starbucks Angelwish page is here:
http://starbucks.angelwish.org/
In a number of New Jersey Starbucks stores, as well as a handful of New York stores, Angelwish has placed collection boxes for toys. They arrange for collection and sorting of the toys and get them to children in need. (And customers, please don’t put trash in the toy collection bins! I have heard stories of people accidentally putting trash in the toy bins.) But there is a great need for monetary donations too, and if you can make a donation, and the money the goes to help sick children! Donations are needed year-round.
And with that, I hope everyone has a very merry Christmas, or a fabulous holiday of whatever you may be celebrating. Merry Christmas! Happy Festivus! Happy Hanukkah!
I wanted to say an especially big thank you to all the partners who are working to keep Starbucks open on Christmas Day! Thank you!
How is everyone’s holiday going?
I am taking a short break from the blog. There will be no new updates until after January 1, 2012. Please come back next year, and spread the word about the blog!

Melody first and foremost a very happy holiday wish to you!!!! You deserve a break and hope you have a festive holiday. My local SB this morning was full of cheer and laughter. The partners that were there were in great spirit. And to everyone that comments on this blog I wish you all the best holiday and a festive time.
Merry Christmas!!!!!! (too busy, gotta go but wanted to put out the WISH!!!) Our Sbux has had “Toys for Tots” boxes out for quite awhile, and a really good response (it seems) this yr……last yr, not so much!) also, every time I turn around and go into a Christmas storage bin at home, I find something old from Sbux that I never remembered I had. I have been with them for a longggg time!
Merry!
I worked on both Xmas holidays at our store and nevertheless it was much fun. Even though we had to serve a few very strange customers today (perhaps they got wrong presents?) I enjoyed working on both days.
Happy holidays to all of you!
Melody, thank you for the compilation post.
Our cats have really enjoyed the 2011 Starbucks soft ornaments (particularly the reindeer for some reason). We are resigned to a horizontal tree as it does not stay upright for long with our four wily hunters. I might have encouraged them by marinating the ornaments in some high potency catnip 😉 .
Melody, to you and all your loyal followers my very best wishes for a joyful holiday season and a prosperous new year.
What a lovely and thoughtful Christmas blog Melody. Merry Christmas and a very happy new year to you too and much happiness in the new year. As for your short break from your blogging activities you deserve it so enjoy.
Sorry that it is already the 26th and time flies but I wanted to say Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays back at everyone in this thread. Thank you for making this a wonderful year! @Denise – Your storage bins sounds like a treasure chest. I was at a friend’s house yesterday, and she pulled out a 20-year old Starbucks shot glass (for espresso) that she bought from the store at 1912 Pike Place, beautifully painted and designed for Christmas. It is amazing the artistry that went into Starbucks merchandise of yester-year! Some day, I’ll get some photos up of that shot glass.
