Starting March 5th, Starbucks entered its second round of testing of the “Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade.” (Obviously, it can be ordered as either a Peach Green Tea or a Peach Green Tea Lemonade.) It’s definitely on the menu right now at selected stores in the United States. This year’s peach tea is the Tazo Green Tea with peach syrup. This is almost identical to last year’s big peach test, except that last year, the Iced Tazo Peach Green Tea came with freeze dried peach bits in it. Those freeze-dried peach pieces reconstituted when shaken with water. No peach pieces for the 2013 test.
The bottom line is that peach is here. I tried the peach tea last year, and totally loved it. It’s delicious. Last year’s Iced Peach Green Tea test was primarily in areas of Texas, as well as a few other cities too.
This year’s test (as far as I can tell), appears to be in the greater Denver area, as well as Baltimore. I have heard a rumor that the Sacramento area has the peach tea, and a few other cities. (I’ve heard Minneapolis, Austin, and San Diego are included in this round of testing – I hope you’ll let me know in the comments if I have got this right.) Please let me know if you’ve tried it! If you missed last year’s article on the Starbucks Peach Green Tea, here it is.
If I haven’t been clear, I am totally ready for Starbucks to launch this nationally. Delish.
How about you?

Haven’t seen it in the Bay Area, but I’ll keep on the lookout. Sounds deliciously amazing (have to admit that I’m glad the peach pieces got the axe, however).
Yum. I hope it comes in time for summer!!!
Loving the peach here in Denver! I like peach Cool Lime Refreshers!
Have not seen it here yet. I did notice the new design on the Tazo cans and like it. I find it interesting the sign for the Tazo tea promotes shaking it and I know partners always want to do that with the iced tea, but I actually feel you can taste the tea much better by having it straight not shaking it. For those partners that do not know me, they think I am wrong.
I would be ADDICTED to this drink. I got to try it once during the test period and I loved it!
Melody, I actually mentioned this drink about a week back in discussion with your announcement on the new Hazelnut drink, I was fussing that I could not get it where I live in Georgia, the PEACH state. Alas, I still do not have this version to test…. Call me crazy but I would think a “PEACH” anything being tested would be tested in the “PEACH” state…..
This peach lover sure would like this. Unfortunately it does not appear to be coming to this little corner of Washington State.
It’s not currently “in a Starbucks near me,” but I hope it comes soon – I love peach tea, and I love the handcrafted Starbucks tea lemonades!
Glad I am not the only having peach tea love! Bring this national Starbucks! I appreciate the comments. Please weigh in on peach tea.
I think it would be very popular here in Indiana. Bring it, Starbucks!
Unfortunately, I haven’t seen it yet in the Bay Area/East Bay (CA). Why did they even have to test this one? I think it would have more fans than the Hazelnut Macchiato, which they got our hopes up for. Should’ve been the other way around; test the HM & release Peach syrup nationally.
We’ve got peach in the Los Angeles – ish area. It’s not bad, but I’m not really a peach person.
This is a bit off topic. Does anyone know who to report an employee that works at a fake Starbucks (Starbucks inside of Target) to? I know Target owns theselocations, but don’t know if you report them to Target Corporate or Starbucks Corporate since they represent their “image.”
I am bothered by this employee’s rude behavior, and how she talked down to employee who was “underneath” her. This particular Starbuck’s has only been open for about a week and she is destroying the companies reputation.
Hi Kris,
You can actually still call/ contact Starbucks Customer Service about licensed stores. I know that licensed stores have District Managers that work for Starbucks, so the feedback should get back to the store via Customer Service.

Good luck! Melody
(I’ve always heard it said, “praise in public, critique in private.” I think that can break down in small places where almost nothing is private, but it’s still a great motto.)
This looks so good! Starbucks opened up in my city (country) just about a few months ago so they only have the basic stuff yet! i hope they get this too! Your review makes me totally want to try it although im not much of a tea-person 🙂
P.S. I stay in Mumbai. We have other coffee-joints here. Starbucks is relatively new
While I am interested in trying the peach syrup, I do not care for iced zen tea, so I think I’d have to try it in black tea. You said they were testing this in Baltimore? I am going there in May, maybe I’ll be able to try it then.
wow, that tazo display is gorgeous!!!! i hope that rolls out to all stores for summer 1.
i would die and go to starbucks heaven if peach was to launch (as a permanent flavor!!) mmmmmm peach black teas, peach lemonades, peach italian sodas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Jocelyn – Bring on the peach!! I’d like to try a peach-lime Refresher! 🙂
@Melody Thanks I will contact them! That is a great motto!!!
@melody – i make a blended refresher drink, we call it the push pop because it tastes exactly like that, and i know it would be so amazing with the addition of peach!
here’s to hoping for peach in 2014, or even better, this summer!!!!
Sacramento has the peach
We have it in certain NorCal areas too. I’ve seen in in Roseville, Folsom, Lake Tahoe, and Sacramento, but none in Rocklin (which is next to Roseville).
It’s delicious, I’ve been getting the peach in my black tea.
No Peach Bits? That’s depressing. 🙁
That was my favorite part last year. WIthout it, it’s not really a new beverage…it’s just a new syrup, like so many other “new beverages.”
I was able to try this beverage in Minneapolis this past weekend. What a delight! The flavor was perfect. I hope Starbucks will begin to roll out the new beverage to more and more store this summer.
I am in the Kansas City Missouri area, I tried this about 2 weeks ago and ever since I have been addicted! I went out of town to St. Louis Missouri and was very sad to hear that they had no clue what I was talking about. Boy have I never been so excited to get home, just to get to Starbucks to get my peach green tea lemonade fix! If you have the opportunity to try it, you will not be disappointed!
Tried the PGTL last year and was literally addicted. I actually cried when it was gone at the end of the summer! No sign of it again in Columbus, oh but when I asked my local starbs if I could expect it, they said that they’re meeting in a few weeks, probably to announce new drinks!
My sister in law just said she happened to have one and loves it. They must be doing it in Pgh now as a test….I don’t think I’ve seen it yet
I am a partner and we will have it in the california central valley in two weeks. We got our shipment today!!!!
@Jenny – Awesome! I am so glad that Peach will finally make it to a national launch! (By the way, check out the FB side of the blog too – there’s a lot more there too)
I’ve had the peach tea! I had it shaken into my usual, black tea lemonade! It was incredible!!! I’m going to order it as much as possible, so I can help ensure it stays around!
I want it back. I had in 2102 in San Diego and it was not in Maryland until last year. Now it is gone 🙁
Had it in Seattle and now in Los Angeles, love it!
Too minty (They use the green tea with spearmint.. Its overpowering)
Can barely taste the peach. Can barely taste anything remotely considered green tea in this. Just tastes like Minty sugar water. 2/10 Makes me want another drink to wash the mint taste out of my mouth. Leaves me more thirsty than I was before drinking… Definitely not refreshing. Cold for sure, but not refreshing.
