A reader of this blog sent me a series of photographs he took of his favorite Starbucks: It is the Clover Starbucks in Peachtree Battle, Atlanta, Georgia. It appears that it is one of a handful of Starbucks that are both Clover locations as well as drive-thru stores. (Last year, I visited the Highlands Ranch, Colorado Starbucks which is also a Clover drive-thru location.)
This is Starbucks is in area of Atlanta known as “Peachtree Battle.”
I was super impressed with the quality of photos – so much so that I absolutely wanted to share them here. I think my own store review photos rarely look this good! He tells me that he simply took all the photos below using his iPhone 5!
The Starbucks store address is 2333 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30305. Their phone number is (404) 261 – 8447. If you’ve visited this store, I would love to know what you thought of it.
Enjoy!

This store looks great, indeed! It’s like new design was mixed with the old one. Long opening hours is an awesome idea. I wish European stores were opened so late.
Very nice store. Is that a stack of coffee beans? Also like the jars of beans on the counter. I hope my local SB store which is being remodeled now looks as good as this although it will not be getting a clover! I like the windows and the outside seating.
Boy, this title caught my attention, as I thought it meant you’d been to my neighborhood SBUX and I’d missed seeing you! Whew.
982 has come a long way since being the first standalone DT SBUX in the world. They didn’t quite know what they were doing at the time, but they’ve better figured it out over time. For example, the moved the DT menu and ordering station to the north side of the building, whereas it lived for years on the west side (in the middle of the sign shown in one of the images above), much closer to the actual window on the east side. They also did a better job of shielding the patio from the idling vehicles. Now if SBUX would just eliminate outdoor smoking at all locations…
This store very recently increased their hours and is open until midnight seven days a week. Before this, they actually closed earlier than the slightly-older location (The Peach, 976) adjacent to B&N one mile away. This made little sense as that store has more challenging parking and of course no DT (nor Reserve nor Clover). I’m glad to see this return to longer hours, as was the norm at many locations prior to the D.C. murders (’97?). One nearby long-shuttered location (East Paces Ferry, 8206) was open until 1:30 or 2 on weekend nights, when there was a heavy nearby bar business. Once the powers-that-be decided to shut down (and tear down) all of the bars, that location understandably went away, as it was never ideal for morning business, only having half a dozen parking spaces.
One teeny tiny piece of trivia that just popped into my mind: years ago (’96 or ’97), there was a barista at 982 named Michelle, who was actually in high school. She was on vacation in a distant place (Costa Rica? US Virgin Islands?) and walked past a guy sunning himself on the beach. She casually called out a SBUX drink order (i.e. triple grande NF latte), which was his. He was a cop that regularly patronized the store! (Needless to say, he looked up when he heard the drink order!) Yes, it’s a small world, after all.
Carl, if I ever get to Atlanta, we will have coffee!
Woohoo! 🙂
