There is a Clover – Reserve Starbucks in Ashland, Oregon! In all honesty, it’s a bit of a surprise to find it there. The Rogue Valley region of Oregon is a very small Starbucks market – I think this might be one of the smallest markets to have a Clover – Reserve store. In addition, the Starbucks is in the downtown area of Ashland, which is a couple miles off of the freeway. It’s not a situation where you could see this store from the highway.
The city of Ashland is known largely for a large Shakespeare Festival that is held yearly in the summer. According to the store partners, by May of each year, directors, theater staff, and actors begin pouring into the Ashland area, and stay until about September. This Starbucks is a high visibility store during the summer months, and gets a surge of customers from all over the world during the Shakespeare Festival.
I dropped by on June 29th, arriving at about 10:00 or 10:30 in the morning. The store was pretty busy while I was there. I met “Mick” the Assistant Store Manager, who clearly wants to be a store manager someday! I saw that he could pass off a cold beverage to a customer giving it a toss in the area and catching it. It was pretty impressive! I ordered a Summer Berry Croissant (this store offers the La Boulange bakery items) and a Tanzania from the Clover.
This little store has small chairs with leather seats and backing, a fireplace, and a clock! The clock is a pretty rare thing for a Starbucks! Apparently so many actors on short breaks asked for it, that the store added the clock!
If you want to visit, here’s the store’s contact information:
Ashland Starbucks (Store #448)
120 East Main Street
Ashland, Oregon

There are about 400 (I think?) Clover – Reserve Starbucks worldwide. I have a partial list here, and each time I visit a new Clover store, I write a short review, and include the link on that list.
Take a look at this super cute store:

Melody I like this store- the fireplace and the clock. I tried to get a clock at my local SB yeons ago and you can guess where that went! I actually think it is a nice addition. There must be some interesting conversations and people at this store especially during the Festival.
Wow. A Clover store and it’s full of actors?? I’m transferring. 🙂
