Starbucks Frappuccino Happy Hour returns: May 1st – May 10th 2014.
Customers can get a half-priced Frappuccino when visiting a company-operated Starbucks from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. You can customize a Frappuccino or order one of the classic favorites that so many people enjoy: Caramel Frappuccino, Caramel Ribbon Crunch (seasonal), Java Chip Frappuccino and Strawberries & Creme Frappuccino.
This is a returning customer-favorite promotion. You don’t have to pay with a Starbucks card, but of course if you have registered Starbucks card (and use it as your form of payment) you will earn a “star” for your purchase. I’ve heard from a couple of people, there will be opportunities for MyStarbucksRewards members to have their happy hour extended to 6:00 PM. Sign up for MyStarbucksRewards!
Starbucks first introduced the Frappuccino Happy Hour in May 2010, to coincide with the introduction of the then-new “However-You-Want-It” customizable Frappuccino.
It’s not too early to mark your calendars – preferably using a thick Sharpie – for this event. Hope to see you there! (Well, maybe not. I’m not a huge Frappuccino drinker but I know that lots and lots of customers love this promotion.)

I’ve recently become a fan of the double chocolatey chip frappuccino with peppermint added.
My favourite is Strawberry Mocha Frappuccino. You must try it! It’s delicious!! 🙂

As an MSR member, you will have the opportunity to have a LONGER happy hour than what is available to the public. So make sure you sign up!
My favorite frappuccino (no longer possible ;( is a vanilla bean w/ coconut syrup. So many people seem to want the coconut syrup…I just can’t see why they won’t bring it back. …a simple syrup.
For a ‘possible’ current fave…would be either vanilla bean w/raspberry syrup on the whip, or green tea w/raspberry syrup on the whip.

@Jakub H – I’m sure at some point I’ve had a Strawberries & Creme Frappuccino. I just can barely finish a tall and I always feel like I’ve had a meal. My favorite Frappuccinos are a basic tall coffee Frappuccino with no modifications or a tall Vanilla Bean Frappuccino with NonFat Milk with CD syrup, no Whipped Cream. I feel like that can’t be too hard on the waistline. 😉
My favourite is green tea frap with 1 pump peppermint, chocolate chips, and no classic. It tastes like mint chocolate chip ice cream. 🙂
My favorite is the seasonal Mocha Cookie Crumble. I always hope it will be back for the summer!!
Oh I just cannot wait for MSI to be filled with “Frappy Happy” ideas. Maybe MSI will stay broke for a few more days.

when i’m having “a day” i like to make a hazelnut syrup creme with java chips added. it’s so delicious and it just makes me happy. when i am craving candy, which is most of the time, i order a blended strawberry lemonade with vanilla bean powder. it tastes exactly like a pink starburst!!!!!!!
I’m tempted to try the new café espresso Frappuccino but am sad that we don’t get coconut again. I rarely get Frappuccinos and try to avoid the happy hour promo because I feel like maybe the partners kind of hate it since they have to make so many. @Jocelyn, can we get the espresso whipped cream on other drinks like just a regular mocha latte?
I usually wait until I have a free reward to order a Frappuccino, unless it’s Happy Hour and then it’s a good enough deal that I can’t resist. My last Frappuccino was a Salted Caramel Mocha (with no salt), 2 blended espresso shots added, 3 added pumps of Toffee Nut, Caramel drizzle around the cup and on top of the whip. Sometimes I get java chips added, but forgot this last time. And yeah I’m one of those people that like extra extra caramel around the sides of the cup. lol
I wish the Coconut syrup would come back too. Getting that added to a Strawberries and Creme Frappuccino made it taste like a tropical mixed drink.
I love Frappuccino Happy Hour! I generally don’t drink frappuccinos during the year other than this time so I try and get my frappuccino cravings out of the way by overindulging. This is gonna be awesome! ^^
I agree with the others who wish coconut would return. Very very frustrating that it’s not offered.
I saw on reddit that Mocha Coconut is coming back to a test market in the Dallas area.
Um, you guys have given me such great ideas on what frappe to order next! i wish this was earlier in the day, though, by 3 p.m. I am usually in for the rest of the day!
I also love the coconut. Nothing else is really as good. Come on, Starbucks!
I am not usually a frap drinker ( I go for the smoothies!) but these ideas sound so yummy that I can’t wait for May to try them!

And yes, Frappuccino Happy Hour is extended until 6 for MSR card holders, but it’s only for a set number of days towards the end of the promotion (6th to the 10th I think?).
I’m not really a Frappuccino drinker, but when I am in the mood for one I usually get a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino with a banana and caramel sauce blended in (it’s much better with Dark Caramel Sauce) with no Creme base.
Banana in a frap?!?! I have got to try this!
Hazelnut frap with a banana blended in and hazelnut or caramel drizzle! It’s amazing and taste like banana bread or banana foster.
Just so everyone knows, if during happy hour when the store is completely packed, you try to read a super-custom “secret recipe” item with 10 modifiers off of your phone to the person taking your order, every employee at the store will automatically hate you.
The only frappuccino I have ever liked is the mocha coconut. Unfortunately, it looks like the coconut syrup will not be returning for the second year; this actually surprised me because I know a lot of people who were unhappy that it wasn’t brought back last year. I guess that means another summer with no Starbucks. I refuse to purchase from them while they have summer specials with no coconut syrup. Sounds silly, but it’s my way of protesting.

I get about one frappuccino a year…when I was a partner, I liked getting affogato frappuccinos, but those have been gone for so long that I feel annoying trying to order one now (it’s still totally possible to make one, but a lot of partners now have only heard of getting the shot blended in, and I generally don’t want to bother explaining).

What do you mean by company I operated Starbucks? Is that different from the Starbucks in malls or hospitals? Please enlighten me. Thank you!
Hi Melai – Starbucks operates two kinds of stores in Canada and the US. Company-operated and licensed. Company-operated stores are operated by partners (Starbucks calls their employees partners) and managed by the headquarters in Seattle. License stores have a legal permission to operate a Starbucks, but they’re actually operated by the person who has that license. (A license is a legal permssion – A driver’s license is a legal permission from your state to drive).
So a Starbucks inside of Safeway, Target stores, or inside of other businesses are almost always licensed enterprises. The barista is often a Target or Safeway employee and not a Starbucks employee. There a few exceptions out there, but a free standing Starbucks is almost always a company-operated store, and a Starbucks inside of any other kind of enterprise is almost always a licensed store.
Note, a licensed store is not a franchise. A Franchise is a legal ownership and a permission. A license is a permission to operate.

So glad you posted this a few weeks before the promotion starts, I’m definitely the kind of fan just as you described – been going for the promotion since 2010 & didn’t miss a single year, so looking forward to May 1st & also marked my calendar w reminder on my cel phone! It’d be really nice if the extended happy hour will happen for the MyStarbucksReward members!

Hi, I just looked on website and saw it is half off… My sister-in-law’s store was told otherwise. Guess she’s in for a surprise. I’m not surprised though. They oftentimes find out about deals from customers. Love this deal better!! Yeah.
@Kat – I just double checked the website too. I hope someone in that store will check online for the correct information. They’ll have problems if the store partners all think it’s BOGO and in the door walk many customers who all (correctly so) think it’s half-off.

@Tiffany – I would hope so but since they’re licensed stores, that don’t necessarily have to participate in promotions. It’s up to the licensed store operator. You’ll just have to check with them. It’s possible that same licensed store operators are participating, but it’s likely on a case by case basis.
Is this promo also available in the Philippines?
To those asking about whether this offer is valid in the Philippines, the answer is “no”. From what I understand, the Philippines had their own separate promo:
“Frappuccino Treat for two.” On April 28-29, from 2-5 p.m., if customers purchase a Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino (new to the market), they’ll receive a second one on us
