MyStarbucksRewards members will periodically receive “dash” promotions from Starbucks. The hallmark of these promotions is that a customer is enticed to visit Starbucks a number of times, and then rewarded with bonus stars at the end of the promotion.
One thing that’s particularly interesting about these Star Dash promotions is that not every MyStarbucksRewards member will receive them. On top of that, Starbucks uses what they call “one to one” marketing, meaning that the dash promotion you receive may be unlike the one that your friends get. I think it’s kind of interesting to see the many variations on these promos.
Just this week, many people received their summer Starbucks Dash email invitation to join. Now is the time to log into Starbucks.com to see if you have a Star Dash opportunity!

Once again, Starbucks seems to penalize those of us that go there every day – my dash was buy 5 frappuccino in a week, get 5 extra stars. – so spend a lot more money and not get anything out of it.
I didn’t get one. 🙁

I got the 5 Frappuccino one Colleen got as well, and I go maybe once a week, so it definitely wasn’t sent out as a punishment for the daily customers. It amazes me how butthurt some people get over the special offers SBux sends out.
As to your summer dashes, I got the 9/12/15 one and there’s no way I’ll even try. I’m more likely to go multiple times a day on the weekends than I am to go everyday.
I got the 9/12/15 day in a row dash as well. I’ve never attempted to do any of the dash promos. At the point that I was going to Starbucks 5 days in a row this would have been great, but I now go a lot less.
Again, EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE TO LOYAL CUSTOMETS for pulling this yet again like they did couple months ago and penalizing those who are good to bucks and incentivizing ones who don’t visit at all. No way I’ll even consider this. I’m mad now.
I got “20 Bonus Stars could be yours” Collect 9 stars searn 10 bonus stars or collect 13 stars earn 20 bonus stars! I will probably go for the 9. I have 5 rewards on my account from the doing the last dash.
I received the Frappuccino dash as well as the 9/12/15.
mine was earn 10 stars get 10 bonus or earn 15 & get 20. I go sporadically often I don’t go enough during the specific period & don’t earn squat. Their loss if they had more stuff I liked I would go more.
I received the “A Star A Day”…bummer about these promos is it’s a 130-mile drive to my nearest store and it clearly states ‘make a purchase *at* Starbucks.” The last star dash was neat because I could use the stars from the purchased coffee.

I got a get 7 stars, get 10 bonus stars one, and a week or so before that I got some weird do x number of days in a row, get x stars (I forget how many it was, but there is no way I’ll go to Starbucks multiple days in a row so I just deleted it.) I clicked the link on the first one though, just in case, but I highly doubt I’ll bother, unless I buy some VIA that has star codes in it or something. The previous star dash I did I only needed 6 stars, and I almost had trouble meeting that, the only reason I bothered with that one was because I was pretty close to getting gold status and the dash bonus stars would push me over.
I received the 10/10 or 15/20 dash and will not be participating.
I got a couple of promos in March and April so am not surprised I didn’t get one this time. I’m okay with that.
I received the second one. The email about grab your sunscreen. I clicked on the link and it shows I am enrolled in the dash, but when I log into the starbucks.com site, I don’t see the promo. *shrug*

I got the collect 5 earn 10, collect 8 earn 20 promo. Does anyone know if that promo meant collect 5 or 8 stars 5 or 8 days in a row? Or did it just mean 5 or 8 stars? Because I can do 8 stars easy just for buying drinks for the office and paying separately…
Clearly, like many of you, I spend too much at Sbux. No dash for me, altho I know of someone (a rare customer) who got the earn 7 receive 10 etc.
I’m kind of torn over the promo’s. I would sound like a hypocrite if I complained about the lack of promo’s I have received since the beginning of 2014. I have been vocal in the past, that I don’t expect anything more than what I get as a Gold Card Member. After all….. Starbucks doesn’t have to give me anything.
I think what hits a nerve with me, is the lack of understanding how they decide how they award the promo’s to their customers. I used to receive them all, as I have said before, and then I hit this dry spell. I did get the promo for the bonus stars for buying so many Frappuccino’s, but I don’t drink that many in a year, so why would I drink that many in a short period of time for bonus stars? I also didn’t understand why other loyal customers weren’t getting any promo’s, while I received them all before. Now this! I’m not disappointed! Things just need to make sense to me. The promo’s are somewhat of a mystery to me, and I’m not sure it’s worth the time trying to figure out what the people in Seattle are doing anymore.
I miss the star dashes that rewarded $5 or $10 to your card; the payoff was much better because of the flexibility in how you used the reward. I liked the opportunity to buy something in the store that wouldn’t typically catch my eye that I cannot redeem a “lucky dozen” reward on — like the Via, a tin of tea or even apply the bonus money toward a new mug. I hope that Starbucks brings back the cash reward! After all, it ends up back in their pockets.

@Addy It should be earn the 5 or 8 stars within the designated time frame (not having to go in consecutive days like the other dash) and you’ll be rewarded.
As I posted elsewhere, I also got the 9/12/15 offer. It’s not a feasible one for me.
I’ve enjoyed and taken advantage of a lot of offers, but not this one (it doesn’t really get me excited to make a point to go to Starbucks extra times for one extra star each visit).

I am having the same problem as Presea. I joined the Dash and I can not find the Dash on my account either. What’s up? Anybody know???
10 for 10, 20 for 15. I’ll pass since it’s not that good of a value. I’m drinking more Vias at home and less in the store unless I plan on staying there for a while. If I’m just going to take it with me, then I’ll fire up the pot and make it myself. And I’m not snobby about my coffee so the Bunn at work is fine.
I have been sooo frustrated with Starbucks! I have not received even one promotion since March 4th and of course no stardash!
I have called 3x, emailed and posted on social media — nothing still. I guess I am not a customer that they want to incent 🙁

I got the 9/12/15 days in a row dash. Unfortunately, that’s not possible this time, since I’ll be stuck at home starting Friday. I can’t leave the house to go to Starbucks. 🙁 So, unless someone takes me card and goes for me, it’s not going to happen.
I have a habit of not checking my Sbux messages on my app, mostly because I work there so I don’t usually do the dash promos. But I got one that said I can get bonus stars after 2pm until 5/27. But since it’s after 5/27, I can’t read the message anymore 🙁 lol
hm, i got get 7/10 bonus or 11/20, which no one seems to have reported. also, not sure if it’s been mentioned elsewhere, but the target starbucks seem to “participating” in the after 2PM promo this latest time, which is great. also found the “white gold” cards again at a store i don’t frequent very often, and the mini frappucino cards at another less-frequented store. picked up a few 🙂
I for some reason, and I have been a gold card holder since 2008, had not received a promotion discount in about 2 years. I complained several times and after about 7 or so conversations and an email address change received one promotional offer. Nothing since then… and no dash offers period. thanks Starbucks!

Oh lala, the 10 iced drinks sounds cool. ‘Specially with the heat the past few days. I got a 3-5-7 email this past week. Started the 5th and ends this 11th.
I don’t recall an email, but I got a bonus of nine stars for nine visits in a row (done by me quite accidentally). Starbucks’ reward program is inferior in many respects, including the nonsense that the cashier is not allowed to tell you what rewards you have on your card. Customers deserve better treatment.
@Jerry – If you’re visiting a company-operated Starbucks (that usually means a stand alone store, not inside like a Safeway or Target or other business) the baristas can look up your rewards. That’s a relatively new feature to the Starbucks registers:

Frankly, I think the rewards are pretty great. I earn stars at Teavana stores, Evolution Fresh, and Starbucks. And there have been plenty of times when I’ve gotten 3 or 4 ounces of free loose leaf tea at Teavana when I’ve had multiple rewards. Also, the rewards are valuable because you can use them on food. The salads and paninis are great choices to use your Lucky Dozen rewards on.
@Melody — do all Starbucks stores have salads? I have not seen any salads on the menu when I Go to my local Starbucks.
