I’m giving away a bag of Micro Blend 11 Starbucks Reserve Coffee with a copy of the book Tales of the Siren: A StarbucksMelody.

Please read everything carefully before leaving a comment below. Your comment entry below must perfectly fit the entrance requirements. I have a feeling this giveaway will have good odds of winning – not everyone is a coffee lover, just for starters. And I’ve never done a giveaway where I don’t get numerous entries that don’t fit the criteria. Please follow the rules.

You must have an address in the United States. You must be over 18 years of age. You may only enter once. I will delete off topic entries. You must correctly answer the three questions below. You must post your entry as a comment to this blog before June 30, 2014, 6:00 PM, Pacific Standard Time.  You cannot enter the giveaway with just one single first name. From experience, I’ve discovered it’s confusing to have a ton of entries that are just “Michelle” and “Michael.” You could be Michael123 or Michelle S. or 206Michelle, but not one single first name.

I’m actually going to do two separate drawings, sorting out the customer entries from partner entries. I want to make sure that at least one coffee-passionate Starbucks partner gets the chance to try Starbucks Micro Blend 11. You will wow your colleagues at a coffee seminar. 😉

Your entry must follow this format:

State whether “I’m a customer” or “I’m a partner.” The two sets of entries will be separated for separate drawings.

1. When is Howard Schultz’s birthday?

2. What are the component beans in Micro Blend 11? (It’s a pre-roast blend so you can’t just throw the beans together in your stores and make the same thing).

3. What was the very first test beverage that StarbucksMelody wrote about on this blog? (Hint: think September 2009).

You must correctly these three questions. (All the answers are in the book Tales of the Siren: A StarbucksMelody but I think maybe you can find the answers with Google).

Even if you don’t win the book and coffee, I would suggest that you buy a copy of Tales of the Siren: A StarbucksMelody. I will tell you, as an author, it’s quite a experience when someone you’ve never met, and you don’t know, says they’ve read your book and loved it. My intent was demonstrate how Starbucks has a unique way of doing business – building a company with soul. The book is intended as a fun, uplifting, easy read about Starbucks, showing examples of community service, friendship, coffee passion, and servant leadership. You’ll get some true Howard Schultz and Cliff Burrows stories mixed in all the stories in Tales of the Siren.

As always, please enter with a valid email address. It will make it easier for me to reach you, if your name is drawn as the winner.

The half pound of Micro Blend 11 retails for $20.oo. Tales of the Siren: A StarbucksMelody retails for $9.99 in the paperback format. By the way, I have plans for more promotions of my book in July. Be on the look for a July promotion for the paperback version which will involve me giving to the CUP Fund. More details to follow on July 1st.

Hope you get the chance to have a cup of this great coffee while reading a great book! 😉

(By the way, I know I’ve been relentless in book promotion, but I pretty much have to be. This is how it goes when you self-publish! I’ve already met with some success, so thank you to the several hundred of you who have already bought a book.)
