Every Monday, you’re seeing a new weekly column on this site. It’s “Drink of the Week.” The idea is a new Starbucks beverage idea for you to start your week off right. Any partner can submit a drink of the week: Be sure to include information on how it’s built and a photo of the full drink. Please include in your email that I have permission to use the #DrinkOfTheWeek, and it would be helpful to put #DrinkOfTheWeek in the subject line. You might even include why you like your drink! If I don’t already know you, please introduce yourself in the email.
This week’s drink of the week comes to us from Huntington Beach, California. It’s a very berry hibiscus Refresher no water, substitute black tea. Grant in Huntington Beach says, “I take the Very Berry Hibiscus concentrate and sub black tea instead of water. In addition I splash lemonade over the top and let a raw sugar dissolve over the drink. The result is tangy, sweet but not cloyingly so! The black tea really cuts the sweetness of the concentrate.”
Sounds wonderful for the warm weather coming right around the corner!
I sent Grant a $10 Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room card as a thank you since I used his drink of the week submission.
Looking forward to more of your submissions for the Monday drink of the week column!

I have attained Starbucks nirvana! Thank your for featuring my drink, Melody! It’s strange seeing this here, I remember the very first article I found was about the Verona bridge. I was waiting for a dull business meeting to start when I found your website; I ended up forming so many fantastic connections with people from all over the world thanks to you. That article inspired me to become a partner!
Thank you, Melody!
This sounds good. I’ve used passion tea before instead of water. Never thought to try black tea. Will give it a go for sure!
Thank you, from the non-creative types, for expanding our Starbucks journeys. This sounds delicious.
I LOVE Berry Refresher with Lemonade instead of water and a splash of passion tea on top. The berry refresher makes the passion tea sweeter, caffeinated while complimenting the flavors already present in PT, but the Lemonade balances the sweet with enough sour to allow it to be sweet for the sake of caffeine. Sounds complicated. Is complicated, but I love it in the afternoons!
Oh my goodness, what a delicious drink! I love that it is not super sweet and so flavorful. Thank you so much for the suggestions. I love trying new things!
This sounds fantastic – will definitely try this! Thank you Grant and Melody!
