Friday, December 18, 2015, is National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day! How do you celebrate? Wear an ugly Christmas sweater!
Starbucks is encouraging their partners (Starbucks calls their employees ‘partners’) to wear an ugly Christmas sweater December 18th – 20th. You might see your favorite baristas decked in a ugly holiday sweater!
This week, Starbucks introduced the Ugly Christmas Sweater Gingerbread cookie, which you can buy individually or in a box six cookies:
If you happen to really like gingerbread cookies, there is a Starbucks card that was created just for you:
Also starting the 18th, you’ll find a limited number of “sweater drink sleeves” for your beverage. I assume they’ll be available for retail sale, though I don’t know all the details:
The gingerbread cookies are good! I bought a box and ate about half a cookie. I took the box of cookies to work and shared with co-workers and they were gone very fast! People liked them!
EDIT: Thank you for the help in the comments! The “Sweater Sleeves” are free as part of a MyStarbucksRewards promotion on Friday the 18th, involving buying a Frappuccino. (You have to buy a Frappuccino, paying with any registered Starbucks card.)
Enjoy!

Would Love to know the exact details of the sleeves. The Real PSL (Twitter) had PSL ones he gave out on Twitter by invite. That’s why I thought it could be something else than just retail sale.
The sleeves are actually free!!! A special promo for MSR members with the purchase of a Frappucino on Friday. They are very limited though!
I love gingerbread cookies and those sleeves are so cute. They’ll be long gone before I can get there unfortunately. But I’ll definitely go get a cookie when I get a chance.
Tried a gingerbread cookie today! It was pricy for one gingerbread man because it’s a lot smaller than the snowman. $2.43 but was yummy!!
… Yay! Scored my cup sweater!
… Gold Card and any size Frap order gets you one!
