At the 2014 Starbucks annual meeting, Starbucks announced a partnership with Oprah Winfrey to bring an all-new Teavana Oprah-created Chai into Starbucks stores. In 2015, Starbucks introduced an herbal version of Oprah Chai tea.
It looks like you can still get Oprah Chai inside Teavana stores and on Teavana.com: Oprah Chai on Teavana.com.
At least inside of Starbucks stores, the Oprah Chai tea is being totally phased out. Here’s a great comparison of the new hot Chai inside Starbucks stores with the Teavana Oprah Chai:
The new Organic Starbucks Chai is a little darker of a black tea blend with less rooibos and a more subtle spice flavor than the Oprah Chai had.
So if you’re a hot Chai drinker at Starbucks, look for the Starbucks Chai inside stores very soon (many stores may have it now).

Genuinely going to miss this product. I never expected to like it, but I took a real liking to the strong cinnamon flavor.
I really liked the Oprah chai :,( It was super good in the iced tea latte. It had more flavor than the regular chai.
Loved the Oprah Chai. Barista was convinced that there wasn’t much of a difference between that and the organic. Said that basically they had just added the word “organic” in front. Flat. Tasted like hot orange koolaid. After two sips I poured it into the toilet.
It really sucks that they have discontinued the product.. and replaced it with something half as good… if the business relationship with Oprah is over … take her name off the product but why replace it with some less tastful… Sad day for me because it was the only thing I would drink from Starbucks…. guess that ends out relationship and says my money…. going to reslly miss my #Oprahchaimornings

Really disappointed that Opra Chai tea is no longer available at Starbucks. One of the few drinks of theirs I liked. Used to get the raw tea blend at Teavanna, now its gone. Can’t find it on line either.
