I rarely just throw out a photo, but I really liked this! This is the drive-thru Starbucks on Elliott Avenue, in Seattle. The MyStarbucksRewards pattern has turned up on the pavement right where you stop and order. I asked the barista at the DT window about the stars, and she simply said that they just recently were painted there. By the way, I went through the drive-thru and was fun to see the video ordering in action. Some of you might remember that I wrote about the video chat ordering at the drive-thru last February.

That is a nice touch but I wonder how long they will stay nice and clean looking before the sun or other weather issues plus cars going over it make it look worn? I think I actually would have used another color besides white. Have not seen that around here will look for it. I would be curious as to how many customers using the drive through notice it!
I have to agree with @purple1: this is interesting but I am guessing that in a car (which is not the way I choose to order my Sbux) it would likely not be noticed. ? I wonder if it is even really seen from a car? I don’t know. It is interesting but I am guessing it’s possibly a little useless. ?
I would notice and appreciate it…not that I go through my store’s DT…ever…
Our customers can barely focus on driving. They wouldn’t even notice.
Please let us know if you get info as to whether it’s going to be nationwide, or if it is more of a test. Presumably a stencil was used, but am curious to hear more.
I don’t use drive-thrus either, but would also notice and appreciate it, as I am always interested in their signage/P.O.P./displays.
I ♥ this idea!! Certainly not made it down to CA yet, but I hope it does… I don’t use the DT much but if they placed it there it would likely be seen by many pedestrians!
