Be on the look out for an adorable new Starbucks card at your neighborhood store! I think this will be another good one for card collectors. There really haven’t been all that many mini cards in the U.S. Like other mini cards, this one has a hole in it for your keyring.
While I don’t normally use mini cards, I do think this is too cute. Register any Starbucks card (loaded with money on it) and you can start earning rewards. You can register your card, and an image of it will show on your Starbucks mobile phone app. You can use ANY card to earn stars and redeem rewards. One of the ways that MyStarbucksRewards is flexible is that you’re not locked into using one card. All of the rewards go by your profile at Starbucks.com/card. At just the Welcome Level of MyStarbucksRewards, you will get a free beverage on your birthday. (This doesn’t mean you necessarily have to be at a Starbucks on your exact birthday. Register a card at least 30 days before your birthday. Use a registered card (with money on it) at least once at least 30 days before your birthday. Your birthday reward will appear on your Starbucks.com/card profile sometime during the week before your actual birthday. And like any other reward, you keep track of it yourself, and redeem it any time you like, before the reward expires. The rewards are digital and will expire about five weeks from when earned. (The Starbucks.com website says 30 days from when earned but I have noticed that for months now, it’s been closer to five weeks.)
Starting May 23rd, you’ll find a special 16-ounce re-usable cold tumbler in the stores. Buy this specially-marked tumbler, and get your first Frappuccino Blended Beverage in it on the house! The new Frappuccino tumbler will be available until supplies last:
Look for the cute new card by the registers at your neighborhood participating Starbucks.

I think I realized why I love this website so much; it reminds me of home! I smiled when I read Snohomish County. I’m so far away, living in Orange County now. Haha.
haha, it’s probably strange that my first reaction to the new mini starbucks card was, “aww, that’s kind of adorable.” i already have two starbucks cards though so i don’t exactly need another. 🙂
Yeah, nope. Couldn’t resist this one! Now I have…4 active Starbucks cards! 😀
Awww mini card! I will say though, that when I was a barista, I thought the mini cards were really annoying- that’s because people would put it on their keychain with a bunch of keys and other cards (understandable), and then I’d be holding this big bulky thing and trying to get the super-tiny magnetic strip to swipe on the register. Hardly the worst problem to have but still… 😉
I want a mini card! It looks cute!
I do think the mini cards are adorable. But I agree with Clare that they must be annoying for baristas to deal with when someone hands a bunch of keys over with a tiny card attached. I’d just want the card for a collection. My son used to carry a mini card on his keyring but it broke and was gone so I wonder if that happens often too. Still very cute and will be popular I imagine.
The new mini cards are to be scanned like the Starbucks app! No more trying to swipe a tiny card through the reader with a bundle of keys attached. It’s a win-win!
These look really cute. I’ll have to buy one to add to my collection!
Do all Starbucks get mini cards? I always wondered why some have it and some have never seen it?
Haven’t found the mini-cards yet (still looking!) but did see the pretty cold tumbler already out in one store, but no accompanying info re: free frapp. Waiting until promotion starts to decide if I am going to buy a tumbler. I am still seeing the star cards out in stores. If they really were put out in limited numbers, I am surprised that they were not all bought out yet. The Spring cards went so fast that I was not able to buy the one that I wanted.
Just got one of the crazy adorable mini cards today! yippeeeee! 🙂
I found the mini-cards at a Starbucks store that I don’t usually visit. Hooray!
@Izzy – Glad you got one!
Asked around at my local Starbucks if they had the card and apparently, not yet… 🙁 They said they get new shipments every Tuesday but unfortunately, my tiny town only has the one Starbucks and it’s a bit out of the way for me… 🙁
