When I first heard Starbucks was launching instant coffee, I was skeptical and suspicious. After trying it, hot and cold, I came around. I don’t know how it happened, but I became a Via believer. Those mornings where I didn’t have enough time for a morning Starbucks run became Via mornings, and I was glad to have my emergency sticks of Via in my office. My first blog entry on Via was a store review of the North Bend Drive-Through Starbucks Via Challenge.
This morning, I saw some fabulous Via enthusiasm at a downtown Seattle Starbucks: Via earrings! I love it! I thought I’d share the Via earrings picture. I promised the barista it would be just her ear all over the internet and not her face, and all I had with me was my cell phone so the quality of the pics isn’t that great. I asked about the earrings and learned that the partners got together and made a whole bunch of them so that every barista would have Via earrings to wear! That’s so cool! (Though I assume the guys in the store aren’t wearing them.)
Enjoy!

I LOVE THIS!!! I’m going to have to make my own. I’ve already got the VIA toenails to match LOL Thanks for the inspiration.
Sweet- you just inspired me to break out the packets in my car for an afternoon coffee break!
No, I will not use hot tap water…

My hubby loves VIA and if I don’t leave enough coffee in the press pot for him he breaks into my VIA stash with out hesitation!
And maybe you can get a Diana camera with a cell phone attached… then you would see your photos are just fine.
That’s really neat. It’s exciting to see the enthusiasm around VIA. If I were a girl, I’d make Sulawesi stamp earrings! LOL!
I love these! We should all have a pair or make our own. I think Via was a great idea. I’m surprised they didn’t think of it sooner.
Alright, so I can’t make my own– I know nothing about jewelry making :-/ can somebody please tell me how I can get a pair?
Wow, this barista took it to a whole new level. very fun but not sure I would be able to rock those.
Neat – those earrings *are* fun! I think I know how I’m going to spend Sunday afternoon…
Very cool for the baristas! (I hope they agree! they will) I took a picture of these posted here and am bringing them into my store tomorrow….there are a few very creative young energetic women who work there and, with the HUGE push of VIA right now…it is EVERYWHERE all over the store, I have an idea they would be glad to wear them. AND, what a great added-HOW-CAN-YOU-RESIST plug for VIA!!!! Actually, I might have to make a pair for them to start with….GREAT IDEA! (I’m getting up my strength to comment on the PIKE story…)
re: the VIA earrings. I made them for the baristas at my best store, first one pr, they were LOVED and desired, so Beth (phenom. FOAM-maker, lover of coffeee, and all around excellent barista) had the first pr. and figured out about 3-4 more prs were needed. So, I came up with 2 more, already being worn….2 to go. really easy and fun to make..bought earring wires in a pack of 4 prs at Michaels (craft shop) and then used whatever I had from the box of the VIA I’d bought….VIA words, Sbux logos… only went so far. Then I got from the store a couple of those booklets: ‘How Starbucks VIA Ready Brew Can Change Your Life’…..there’s lots of material to cut and paste in those booklets. So, that stuff and a loop of cord (varied) to paste in between the VIA pieces of cardboard, which then hung from the earring wire…… was fun, looked pretty cool. they (baristas) seem happy about them. customers commenting. too bad I didn’t think (or see) of this back in March!!
@Patsy: I’m thinking you can do this, it’s pretty much cut and paste. ????
Every year when Starbucks has their post-christmas sales I like to buy everyone in the office their own unique ceramic mug. They make for great belated x-mas gifts.
AH! Those are awesome! I would totally wear some. If I weren’t one of the few totally weird girls who never got around to getting her ears pierced…True story. But still! Maybe I could figure out how to make one as a pendant for a necklace… Or a VIA bracelet! I feel a craft day coming on…
