Six new Frappuccinos are coming to Starbucks, starting on Monday, June 8th. All of them are currently already showing up on Starbucks.com! The website says “currently available” but it’s possible that if you order them before June 8th, you’ll need to give the barista the recipe for the Frappuccino.
Be on the look out for the new Frappuccinos – I will want to know which one is your favorite!
The six new Frappuccinos are as follows:
First off, there is the Lemon Bar Frappuccino: This is a lovely creme-based Frappuccino with a caramel-sugar topping. I previously wrote about this Frappuccino here – if you need the recipe click through.
From Starbucks.com, the Lemon Bar Frappuccino is described as, “A sweet and sour mix that brings lemonade and vanilla together. Finished perfectly with whipped cream and a caramel sugar sprinkle. When life gives you lemons, sip this… upside-down?”
Secondly, Starbucks will offer the Cotton Candy Frappuccino. This is already a popular customized Frappuccino so many customers and baristas will already be familiar with how to make it.
To make the Cotton Candy Frappuccino, you just add raspberry syrup to a vanilla bean Frappuccino.
Starbucks describes it as, “Take our standard Vanilla Bean Crème Frappuccino®, add raspberry syrup, blend it together, finish with whipped cream and boom, you have a round trip ticket to magic land…”
Third in line, you have the Cinnamon Roll Frappuccino. I’m not sure of the exact recipe, but the Starbucks website says, “Cinnamon dolce syrup blended together with coffee, white chocolate mocha sauce and vanilla bean, topped with whipped cream and a cinnamon dolce sprinkle. Sweet and spicy … that’s how we roll.”
I’m looking forward to trying this! I’m already a fan of cinnamon – it sounds like an amazing treat!
There’s more!
Fourthly, Starbucks will introduce the Cupcake Creme Frappuccino! This Frappuccino brings together flavors of hazelnut and vanilla bean to make a fun Cupcake Creme Frappuccino.
Starbucks says, “Start with the Vanilla Bean Crème Frappuccino®, add hazelnut syrup, blend together and finish with whipped cream. A sip of cake flavor in every bite.”
This one doesn’t sound too hard to try early. Order a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino and ask that your barista add hazelnut syrup to it.
Fifth, we can’t miss out on the Red Velvet Cake Frappuccino!
Starbucks describes the Red Velvet Cake Frappuccino as, “A confectionery-inspired blend of chocolaty chips, mocha sauce, raspberry and vanilla syrup, topped with whipped cream. Perfectly sweet and velvety smooth.”
That looks like a complicated recipe! That might be better to wait until June 8th to try and order. I haven’t tried this one, but it sure sounds like an entire dessert to me. Well, Red Velvet Cake would be a dessert!
Last but not least, the sixth Frappuccino that I want to mention is the Caramel Cocoa Cluster Frappuccino. Here’s how Starbucks describes it: “Toffee nut syrup, blended with coffee then topped with a dark caramel sauce, whipped cream and a mocha drizzle. More than a classic flavor combo it’s a flavor collision of chocolate, nuts and caramel.”
Enjoy all the new Frappuccino options starting this upcoming Monday!

Just to show you that I found these on Starbucks.com, here’s a glance of what the nutrition information looks like for two of them:
Starbucks.com says “currently available” for the six new Frappuccinos, but the start date is Monday. I know I’ve said that before, but I always worry a little when people order things early and confuse baristas. I think most baristas should know these recipes by now, but I definitely can’t promise that!

Very excited! I’m going to the U.S. in 2 weeks time. Can’t wait to try all of these!!
I’m really interested in trying the Caramel Cocoa Cluster and Cupcake Creme Frappuccino’s. Any idea how long these are sticking around?
… just noticed that Frappuccino name has either creme or coffee – guessing that cremes are what kids get since no coffee in ingredients – is this right?
@GingerG – Good question. In the big scheme of things, there are two large categories of Frappuccinos – Creme based – And those do not have any coffee in them.
Or coffee based – and those Frappuccinos use an Italian Roast coffee base.
But there isn’t one that is more for kids or not – based upon my observations in stores, lots and lots and lots of adults love the creme based Frappuccinos.
the creme was introduced over a decade ago, for customers who like starbucks but don’t want coffee for any number of reasons: medical issues, kids, afternoon get togethers where caffeine might not be such a big thing.
i am happy to see they’ve made one of my favourites into a frappuccino. i will have to try it soon.
… thanks for the answer – agree that cremes can be enjoyed by both – just wondered before seeing two different kinds, what kids were ordering.
… Caramel Cocoa Cluster will be my first order!
… do you know if any of the new ones are gluten free?
… realize those with vanilla powder have gluten
… my daughter has Celiac but is a big Starbucks fan
All of them look fantastic summer dessert beverages. I will definitely try at least one of them this coming Monday.
I’ve never been a big frap fan because they are so overly sticky sweet, but with some tweaks the are nice once in a while. The Lemon Bar & Caramel Coco Cluster look yummy & the new Smores too. Sadly until they remove the Citric Acid I can’t have any as I’m allergic to this ingredient as well a cinnamon.
I’m really looking forward to the Lemon Bar Frappuccino most of all. Usually, I don’t get whipped cream on my drinks, but I might change my plan for this one! It’d be even tastier (and more like a lemon bar if they had powdered sugar dusted on it! 🙂
And like you, Melody, I’m a huge cinnamon fan — Cinnamon Dolce syrup is often a go-to for me, whether in iced drinks or hot. I’ll be interested to see how this compares!
I tried the Lemon Bar yesterday (my store had the recipe cards and the ingredients on hand) pretty good until my mouth got too cold and I could not taste it any more.
For those who cannot have gluten, I believe that the Java chips are still made with wheat.
It’s tragic how much you just can’t even make these in the UK, or probably most of Europe. We have no vanilla frappucinnos, and all the syrups aren’t there, either. Except the ones with the vanilla bases…d’oh.
I just read an article about the sugar content of these new fraps and if it is correct, then I feel SB was not being smart. Sad to see that they would make such high sugar drinks. I realize that many of the other choices are also not healthy but in reading this article it seems like these new ones go way beyond the level they should.
@Purple1 – I’ve always believed that we could look at the average American’s diet and be stunned. The incredibly fatty Pizza Hut, burgers, greasy, the incredible sugar content… to say nothing of cigarettes and alcohol. Lots of people are destroying their liver with alcohol. So, I take the approach that I will fully let people choose for themselves what they want to consume. There is no diet shaming in my view, because if we look around us, a bad diet is an epidemic and we all have the ability to make choices for ourselves.
Personally, I do view one of these Frappuccinos as an occasional treat – and I have to assume that the news stories which focused on sugar were talking about the Venti size. I never get a Venti size Frappuccino myself. It’s too much. For me, it’s a treat now and then, in either the mini or tall size.
The cinnamon roll was awesome and not overpowering!
I don’t know what it’s like elsewhere, but the stores I’ve been to around Calgary have very little to no advertising of these drinks. All ads are to do with La Boulange (which just launched here), or the mini Frap cups. No mention at all in the drive-thru line. One store had the frappuccino.com URL listed on their chalk board, but no drink flavours. I believe another had the Lemon Bar noted, but no others. The store I was in today had nothing.
About a week after these launched, I ordered a Cinnamon Roll. I noticed the Barista looked up the recipe (didn’t have a problem with that… Six drinks launching at once is a lot to memorize). However, when she handed me the drink, she expressed surprise that people had been ordering a lot of them recently. I explained about the launch and that they were posted on the Starbucks website. She clearly had no clue about this whole promotion.
I very much get the idea that the people ordering these (at least where I live) have to be ‘in the know’ or following Starbucks on social media. I’m surprised they wouldn’t have been advertising these more in store, as I would think ‘new’ drink flavours would help drive sales.
