This is your chance to enter to win a bag of the all-new, super limited, Starbucks Reserve Christmas Blend. Please read ALL the rules carefully. I’ve had this blog for six years and I’ve actually never done a giveaway without at least a few people simply not following the rules. If your entry doesn’t meet the rules, it won’t be counted.
Starbucks Reserve Christmas Blend retails for $17.50 for the 8.8 ounce flavorlock bags.
How to enter:
- Leave a comment on this blog.
- You must be over age 18.
- You may only enter one time – any non-entry comments will be removed.
- You must post your comment before Thursday, November 26, 2015, at 8:00 AM, Pacific Standard Time.
- Identify if you’re a partner or a customer: I’m going to put all the entries into a hat (separated by customer versus partner) and pull them out. One bag of Reserve Christmas Blend will go to a partner. Another will go to a customer.
- Please tell me if you’re a new reader to this blog or if you’ve been following it for a while. (I’m just very curious. I started this website in 2009).
- Please answer the question, “What does the phrase ‘Coffee Journey‘ mean to me?'”.
- You may not write more than 70 words. (Please count carefully – all one letter words like “I” and “a” are words too. Symbols like an ampersand are not words.)
- You must have an address in the United States, Canada, or the UK.
- Please enter with a valid email address – over the years, I’ve experienced where winners don’t reply to emails and are hard to get in touch with, if they’ve won. If you don’t respond to my email within 15 days of me notifying you that you’ve won, you have forfeited your prize.
- Winners are drawn at random. Your odds of winning depend upon how many people comment below. I think I’ve made this a little challenging and a short window of time to enter, so hopefully there won’t be too many entries.
- Please allow up to two weeks for me to ship the coffee to you.
- I’ll post the winner’s name on Friday, November 27th, in the comments to this blog post.
Good luck!

My name is Earl, customer, reader of this blog for a few years now. Coffee Journey means to me the distance I have to travel to a Starbucks!
Hello! Customer & reader for several years.
Coffee Journey connotes the beautiful, warm ritual that spearheads my day through every season and experience. Sometimes the journey is fueled by four alarm coffee, occasionally an overindulgence in the beans’ delight, while at other times the expedition is meditative and centering. My coffee journey brings me clarity, joy in simple precision and sensory acuteness. Coffee’s bliss is ever-present.
My name is Bill, I’m a customer and love to check out the blog when it crosses my FB feed. My Coffee Jouney is loving to try new blends & varieties.
hi….I’m a partner (: and also a fellow veteran.
love peeking @ your blog for the past year….
my coffee journey started in college: raspberry mochas and a promise to myself that someday I would become a barista….sharing my coffee & tea love! w. others.
today: I’m doing it.
*just beginning my coffee master certif. and am learning so much about growing regions, the growers!! processing, roasting….really cool. (:
I am a partner and new reader to this blog, and have found it very informing! My coffee journey started when I first started college classes. Pre-partner, Starbucks was where I studied and drank my iced coffee, as the smell and constant buzz off the coffeehouse kept me alert. Now my coffee journey is the cultivation of my coffee experience, knowledge, and ability to inform and teach others!
Hi, I’m a customer and I’ve been following this blog since September 2009, but was following your comments on another blog long before that. To me, Coffee Journey means the path coffee takes you on; pairing moments with yourself, friends and family, collecting memories along the way.
Customer. I have been reading for just over a year now.
A Coffee Journey to me is the experience of discovering a new variety for the first time, then tasting it neat & smelling it to find its complementary flavours & determine out the best combinations + also I love to try different brewing methods to find what makes the most out of the bean to me
Thanks
Hi… I’m a customer and I’m new to this blog. My “Coffee Journey” is my continued effort to try different types of coffees. I’m a fan of the Starbucks Reserve line. I like to try coffee from different countries too. Happy Thanksgiving!
Hi! My name is Nicole and I’m a new reader – I discovered your blog via a google search that I’m not sure what the origin was. I’m US based! My coffee journey is a mix of my morning routine and a desire to seek something new. Coffee has been with me on my journey my whole life and will continue to be. Oh and I’m a customer as well.
I’m a four year partner in Northern California. I’ve been reading your blog for about three and half of the them! My coffee journey began from the first taste of my dad’s bitter morning cup as a kid, through school and getting frappuccinos with friends, to my current role as a coffee master. Most important are the connections I’ve had with others (family, friends, partners, customers, farmers).
Coffee journeys are about evolving, maturing and exploring. Walking the path of a growth mindset, a coffee journey should open one to possibilities: trying a range of beans and blends, learning about the range of brew methods, and sharing this knowledge with new others. Journeys are the antithesis of stagnation and coffee should ALWAYS get ya moving.
– Partner; new reader.
Hi Melody my name is Junior and I am a partner also a new reader to this blog, and coffee journey to me means where the coffee began at the farm to it getting to a cup for all of our customers, or even a fantastic bag of coffee going home with them.
I‘m a customer who’s been a devoted blog reader of yours for many years. Coffee journey to me means the adventure of discovering coffees, the development of my palate, and learning tasting profiles and nuances. Now I think about food pairing, too. I owe this in part to you. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your readers, Melody!
I’m a junkie .. er … customer and long time follower. For me, the Coffee Journey is the comfort of the mermaid and a smiling barista to fill my mug wherever my travels may lead.

The winners – (33) Janet Krig and (44) Pam!
Congratulations winners!! I hope you enjoy the coffee. Melody is so generous hosting this. 🙂
Congrats guys. I have a feeling you’ll be in flavourland!
Thanks for these contests melody and allowing those from a far to have a chance in tasting these treasures!
Thanks again Melody. Congrats winners!
This is Janet, one of the happy winners, and I was blown away when I found out I won a bag today! Thanks again Melody for having these generous giveaways! Your efforts are truly appreciated! I look forward to my first taste of this special reserve!
Congrats winners! Thank you Melody for all you do! Happy Holidays to all!
Congrats winners!! (Wondering where I messed up with my entry.) I hope to see a review on this coffee from both of you!!
Oops… just saw it. Guess I don’t know how to count. I thought the only words to be counted were the “coffee journey question” part. My bad!! Still loved this contest, though. 🙂
Congratulations to the winners!
Any suggestions on food pairings Melody?
@Diele – I think one of the most interesting things one could do is to compare traditional Christmas Blend side by side with the Reserve Christmas Blend – It’s rare you’d get any chance to compare 2 different blends both containing aged Sumatra.
After that, I think the mandarin and spice tasting notes are dead on for this coffee – so however you can try it with something like that.
I would LOVE the chance to compare it next to traditional Christmas Blend.
My plan was to taste them side by side as I agree that it is very unique to be able to compare them together! I think the holiday spice for the upcoming flat white would be amazing in Christmas Blend or Reserve Christmas Blend! Perhaps I can pair with a baked good made with the spice. I love how coffee provokes food pairings!
