Recently a store partner in North Carolina emailed me because of my previous blog post on Starbucks chalkboard art. This partner creates and draws all of the chalkboard art on display in his company-operated Starbucks in North Carolina. He was happy to show off his amazing art work, and since I am still in awe of the creativity beneath the green apron, here is yet another episode of chalk art. It is STILL a joy to click on it and browse through the 35 or so pieces of art that baristas and customers all over this country, Canada, and a few in the UK, submitted to this site. Wow those are terrific! Proof that some live by the motto “Love what you do.”
Wow it would be so nice if this type of art would be created in my SB. I think they should offer a contest or some kind of promotion to allow either baristas to create artwork or customers. These chalkboard artwork are outstanding.
Absolutely gorgeous! I agree, its cool to see things like this because you can tell this person lives by the motto “Love what you do.” That’s why I think seeing these images are inspiring!

These are absolutely amazing! My store artist is doing a new board this week- it’s his first since starting art school, so I’m excited to see improvement. It would be hard to top these though!

It would be awesome if more Starbucks had art like that. I’ve been looking for it at every store that I go to and haven’t seen anything.
I LOVE the idea of the artwork on the boards. My manager did a mediocre (but kind of ok) one last week about frapps but…not good enough to pass on. I told him I admired it. also hinted that I would LOVE to do it sometime…..since they’re so pressed for time (and really don’t care too much about it) I am hoping to work my way into this one time, at least. would really love to do it…enjoy artwork, think I can be kind of creative, at least very attractive. (my ‘artwork’) we’ll see…… 🙂
Wow. I am super impressed with this guy’s work. I love doing the chalkboards at my store and put a lot of work into them, but I’ve never taken as much creative license with the subject as this guy. Gives me some inspiration to go a little further in my future designs 🙂
Love it! In my next life I’d like to be a visual artist! The barista artwork is part of the ambience of walking into a Starbucks. I hope corporate will encourage it somehow.

Do you know if the artist is using a certain kind of chalk or just standard crayola type stuff?
