I’m doing a quick giveaway! I was at the Starbucks Coffee Gear Store recently and noticed this cute child-size green apron. I thought that would be especially cute as part of a Halloween costume! Of course, there might be kids who would wear it any time of the year!
This is going to be a quick giveaway. You have to post your comment to enter before Friday, October 17th at 3:00 PM PST. I’ll stop counting at 200 entries (I don’t think there will be nearly that many but I am putting that cap on it). You may only enter once. (One entry per person – multiple comments by the same person will be deleted.) Your odds of winning depend upon the number of valid entries (up to the max of 200). I’ll put all the names on little cards, and ask someone to pull a name out of a Starbucks bag. Winner chosen at random.
You are entering to win one Starbucks child-size green apron and a Starbucks Gift Card loaded with $15.00 on it.
Here’s what you need to do to enter: You must have an address within the United States or Canada. You must be over age 18 to enter. You must leave a comment below on the blog. Tell me what your favorite past article on this site was. I realize that there are now well over 1,000 published articles on this blog. I’d like to know what resonates with you. I find it interesting, for example, that articles on Coffee Education Seminars usually get few comments but when I meet people and talk about the blog or get emails, lots of people tell me how much they enjoy reading those articles. I thoroughly enjoy Starbucks history lessons articles, such as the story behind Breakfast Blend, the story of the Eggnog Latte, or articles like this that tell some of the stories of the current whole bean coffee packaging. The articles that get the most comments tend to be those that stir up disagreement and strong feelings. I suppose if I really wanted to always inspire lots of comments, I’d make sure to post plenty of controversial topics. But I try to keep those to a minimum. Maybe your favorite articles are about Teavana? I know that there are many people who read this site for information about products and/or beverages in the testing phase. Maybe it is the giveaways that you especially like seeing on this site?
I would encourage you to use a real email address to enter: this will make it much easier for me to reach you if you’re a winner. I would also encourage you to use more than one single first name if you have a common first name. Sometimes it’s confusing to have multiple entries by “Michelle” or “John” – You can be Michelle S. or Michelle 3 or whatever you like. This is not required, but is recommended. And lastly, I’d encourage you to put your email address in the left side column and subscribe to future updates.
Your comment must be posted before Friday the 17th at 3:00 PM PST. I would note, it’s very common for people to send me an email or post on Facebook thinking that’s an entry. You do have to write a comment on the actual blog. And please be specific about what past article(s) you especially liked. I won’t approve a comment that’s just “Love this blog.” I appreciate that very much, but it’s not what I contemplated with this giveaway! Thank you for being great readers! Your comments are great feedback to help me guide what I’ll write about in the future.
Thanks! Enjoy!

i’ve enjoyed your posts about tales of the siren. you’ve worked hard on it and is such an extension of you and this blog. i hope you continue to promote it!
I also find it hard to pick a favourite, BUT I think it would have to be articles about test products or things we don’t have access to outside of Seattle – the Tazo store (when it was there), the Evolution Fresh Store – the new Starbucks Roastery Cafe etc.
When I’m quoting your blog to my partners, it’s often about test products, and/or historical info about past products 🙂
I enjoy the blogs where u mention new products new cards and what’s new that is being tested. You mentioned how the Seahawks card was coming out and when. I really liked that
I especially love reading about the reserve coffees! Recently you had a post about the India Estates Blend which I tried and found it to be delicious and is now one of my favorites!
It is hard to choose but I think my favorite post is “Ask Me Anything About Starbucks”! It helped me out a lot. Thank you as always and keep up the good work!
I love when you share about test products – even though they are not by me and maybe not ever coming to any store after the trial, it’s fun to see what’s up!
Hey Melody!
I recently found your blog and am so happy that I did since I’m an avid starbucks fan like you ^^ My fave articles would have to be posts on ‘ask me anything about starbucks’- these really helped me out! Thanks for this giveaway~
My favorite articles are about the collectible, limited time Starbucks cards. I never get any of the good ones here in my tiny town so it’s nice to see what else is out there…
I have this bookmarked as I would love to collect cards instead of mugs (although I currently do both!!).

although I have quite a few articles that I’ve enjoyed, I did appreciate the article regarding the secret menu. I felt that it was very useful to communicate and educate customers on that issue because I think it often has caused confusion. I have actually seen great improvement in customers ordering these drinks since then. More often now customers come in with the recipe or ask if we know it before they order it. That is very helpful and helps avoid much confusion and frustration on either side.
Thanks again,

My favorite articles are always the ones that give lesser known details about the company. The one that has stuck with me has been the one back in February about Starbucks Coffee Masters and how they earn their black aprons. I’m always on the lookout!

Such a FUN giveaway! I love your “ask me anything about starbucks” posts! Love the inside scoop!
Hello! This is so cute! <3
My favourite blog post has to be the one where you talk about the best places to visit in Seattle when doing a SBUX tour–my friend and I did all of them in one day, including the container store! It was a highly caffeinated day. We also made sure to stop at one of Howard's favourites: Top Pot Donuts!
I came to this blog at least 2 years ago while trying to find more info on My Starbucks Rewards policies, and loved the content. My favorite post was related to a partner who utilized artistic abilities on cups for customers. I tend to like spotlights on partners, locations, and customer service.
I am new to the blog. My favorite post was about the new Starbucks Iced Coffee. I am so hooked. Bought my first one in Utah, but couldn’t find it back at home in WA. Your post and the replies helped me find it.
I have a son who would love this apron. He recently won a Mom and Child cooking contest at the state fair. He told me that he wants to start collecting aprons. Lol.
Thank you for doing this giveaway!!! I just love it!!! I have liked the articles that you have written, but I especially like when you post “ask me anything Starbucks”. I am a huge Starbucks fan and I learn a lot from this post. Thank you so much for all that you write about and doing this blog Melody. I Love me some Starbucks!!! 🙂 Fall flavors are the BEST!!!
I’m pretty new here so it wouldn’t be very fair if I won.. but just wanted to comment and say that I love your blog and I can’t stop reading all of your interesting articles! Keep up the good work!
The post I refer to the most (and tell others about) is your great summary of the refill policy. You have a great way of de-mystifying Starbucks for the casual consumer.
I also like any posts where you mention what you ordered, like the recent one on Fizzio combinations for example. I often get inspired to go try the same thing!
I was super excited when you blogged about the new recycled container stores because we have one of the 1st ones near me in Colorado. (Can’t imagine working in such a tiny, warm space!) But, I love when you blog about test products, Starbucks comes up with the greatest stuff! Thanks for all the great info!!
I love your articles on:
-New food/beverage products and test products
-New locations and their architecture
-Rewards and Loyal Program stuff
-I love your articles on new gift cards, merchandise, collections. Loved the article and picks from the lady’s huge collection
Those were just off the top of my head. I just love your blog!
I like the reviews of stores. My fav is this one. THE LOVE STORY: 16TH & CALIFORNIA STARBUCKS IN DOWNTOWN DENVER. It is one that I have been to and remember fondly.
I love reading about the new drinks being tested though it is never in my area. I did enjoy reading about all your books left at different stores. Very cool story!
I love reading all of your articles! You have a wonderful way of explaining all of the unique aspects of Starbucks. My favorite posts of yours are about new locations and their architecture. The more pictures the better! I also love hearing about new products and collectible items, especially the holiday collections!
I love hearing about all the new merchandise and cards the most!
I love the giveaways the most! Thanks 🙂
I’m geeking out a little bit over Sue Fox’s Starbucks collection! I wonder if she has a child size apron?! I love knowing about the new products that are coming out 🙂 Thanks for your fun blog.
I love your whole blog. the colors, the layout, the artwork, the content. EVERYTHING! The giveaways, the rewards program information, new locations, all of it. Great work and great blog!
I found your blog on the Dark Barrel informative. I am in Jacksonville and found that the most Starbucks here were not well informed or confused on what the flavor profile should be.
I really enjoyed the post about all the Starbucks collectibles from Sue Fox. I’m a collector myself – not necessarily of Starbucks items, but of any kind of cool items, and I like looking through other people’s extensive collection of things.
I have a collection of Starbucks cards as well, but I don’t have nearly as much as her! hope to see more of these kinds of posts in the future!
My favorite posts are the testing drink and items posts. I like to know what might be coming to a store near me or what people’s thoughts are about the items. My favorite recent post was the mini frappuchino one – that drink is so adorable!!
Hi Melody
Frankly I haven’t read an article that I didn’t like they’re very detailed and informative. However if I must choose I like the ones that involve the test that SBUX’s does. The mini frapp, coconut milk and layered frapps. Its cool to hear about them as some of us will never see some of these products that don’t make it the long haul.
To quote Howard Thanks for all you do! Michelle
Love the article on the collectible cards as I have traveld to many of these places and had no idea what I was missing! Now, I drive my family & friends when traveling trying to find them. Is there a list that displays all the cards that are out there? Would love to see them all sided by side.
i love the articles about when new products are introduced and where (such as dark latte, new bakery items, and seasonal drinkware). I also like the articles that actually give reviews of said new products.
I like any post about new drinks or new promotions =)
I especially enjoy getting an insider’s look at both the storytelling amongst baristas regarding known history of Starbucks plus, of course feel privileged to learn what’s coming. It is like I am in on the secrets of Starbucks!
I like the info on products being tested. It’s good to know whats coming or may not be. The coconut milk was one I was curious about. I do not think it would taste that good but good to know it was decent in a frappuccino. The grilled cheese is in my opinion disgusting snd I don’t know how it made it out of testing and on the menu. I am super excited about the dress code! I knew about the tattoo part but just read on your posts that nose studs are ok now too. Woohoo! Thanks for the info!
I love the “Ask Me Anything About Starbucks” post! Lots of valuable info 🙂
I’ve been away from the blog for a little while and just made it back when I was researching the new dress code and I was excited by the new starbucks jewelry that you shared – I’m definitely going to check out her store! I also love your drink suggestions – they aren’t “over the top” crazy like some others that I’ve seen. P.S. Ginger Ale with Peach is my favorite Fizzio (and they really need to keep the peach year round!). Thanks for always keeping us informed!
Hi — I just found your site when searching for an article about the history of coffee, friday office random conversation. 🙂 anyway, i was stoked when i saw the fizzies, i went to LA for the first time in September and the first thing I wanted to do was try them as we don’t have them here yet and i like trying homemade sodas and not of the ‘soda stream’ variety. anyway, had them all and LOVED the spiced root beer. can’t wait till it arrives on east coast.
I just began reading your blog and have only read a few articles, but I have to say that I really enjoyed reading “A QUICK LOOK AT STARBUCKS TESTS: GOLDEN MAPLE LATTE, DARK BARREL LATTE AND MORE.” Thank you for your writing!
Fun giveaway….sorry I missed it!
I have to say it’s been an incredible joy reading these replies, as I am getting ready to pull a winner for this giveaway. You guys really made me smile with your many, many fabulous replies and it makes me super happy that there are so many readers really enjoying what I produce here.
There were 87 replies within the window to enter. 86 people entered. One person wrote that he was new and it would be unfair if he won.
I’ll announce the winner soon. And again, I’m really touched by your comments. I’m glad I could help so many with Starbucks questions, the refill policy, and more. And so many of you like the “test” articles – me too!
I liked your posts about Starbucks secret menu.
So many great comments – love to read what other people like on your site.
Has the winner been notified?
The winner was Sherry in Oregon. I emailed her and posted on Facebook, and she got back to me super fast. 🙂 I’m sure she’s enjoying her mini apron now.
