I’m doing a quick giveaway! I was at the Starbucks Coffee Gear Store recently and noticed this cute child-size green apron. I thought that would be especially cute as part of a Halloween costume! Of course, there might be kids who would wear it any time of the year!
This is going to be a quick giveaway. You have to post your comment to enter before Friday, October 17th at 3:00 PM PST. I’ll stop counting at 200 entries (I don’t think there will be nearly that many but I am putting that cap on it). You may only enter once. (One entry per person – multiple comments by the same person will be deleted.) Your odds of winning depend upon the number of valid entries (up to the max of 200). I’ll put all the names on little cards, and ask someone to pull a name out of a Starbucks bag. Winner chosen at random.
You are entering to win one Starbucks child-size green apron and a Starbucks Gift Card loaded with $15.00 on it.
Here’s what you need to do to enter: You must have an address within the United States or Canada. You must be over age 18 to enter. You must leave a comment below on the blog. Tell me what your favorite past article on this site was. I realize that there are now well over 1,000 published articles on this blog. I’d like to know what resonates with you. I find it interesting, for example, that articles on Coffee Education Seminars usually get few comments but when I meet people and talk about the blog or get emails, lots of people tell me how much they enjoy reading those articles. I thoroughly enjoy Starbucks history lessons articles, such as the story behind Breakfast Blend, the story of the Eggnog Latte, or articles like this that tell some of the stories of the current whole bean coffee packaging. The articles that get the most comments tend to be those that stir up disagreement and strong feelings. I suppose if I really wanted to always inspire lots of comments, I’d make sure to post plenty of controversial topics. But I try to keep those to a minimum. Maybe your favorite articles are about Teavana? I know that there are many people who read this site for information about products and/or beverages in the testing phase. Maybe it is the giveaways that you especially like seeing on this site?
I would encourage you to use a real email address to enter: this will make it much easier for me to reach you if you’re a winner. I would also encourage you to use more than one single first name if you have a common first name. Sometimes it’s confusing to have multiple entries by “Michelle” or “John” – You can be Michelle S. or Michelle 3 or whatever you like. This is not required, but is recommended. And lastly, I’d encourage you to put your email address in the left side column and subscribe to future updates.
Your comment must be posted before Friday the 17th at 3:00 PM PST. I would note, it’s very common for people to send me an email or post on Facebook thinking that’s an entry. You do have to write a comment on the actual blog. And please be specific about what past article(s) you especially liked. I won’t approve a comment that’s just “Love this blog.” I appreciate that very much, but it’s not what I contemplated with this giveaway! Thank you for being great readers! Your comments are great feedback to help me guide what I’ll write about in the future.
Thanks! Enjoy!

I love the giveaways, but best blogs are on new store designs and where they exist.
… favorite post is “Ask Me Anything About Starbucks”! Added it to my home screen to use as a refresher reference.
I am new to your blog. I stumbled upon it recently when looking for some starbucks info. I’ve really enjoyed reading past articles especially the ones describing coffee roast. I quite often go into a store and have no clue what the difference in the beans are. I’ve gained alot of insight through reading your articles.
The articles I enjoy the most are the openings of new stores. How the stores are set up. It is amazing how Starbucks looks inviting mo matter what country or city they are in.
Frankly, the answer to your question is one that would take me a bit too figure out because you wrote so many great posts. But, I have to say the one about the 26 signs you are addicted to Starbucks was on my top list of favorites. So many of the signs I could recognize.
Loved the post from July 18, 2014 “What Customers Mean to Me” Guest post by a 4 year Partner. What a special story. I know I miss my favorite Partners when they are not working that day or I visit another Starbucks because they have become friends.
Hey Melody! U recently enjoyed this article “AN EXCLUSIVE RESERVE: STARBUCKS COSTA RICA LA INES GEISHA COFFEE AVAILABLE 9/8/2014. (ROASTED AT THE STARBUCKS PILOT PLANT).” very cool to actually get to see what it’s like inside the roasting facility and where this exclusive abs rare coffee comes from. I also enjoy so many other blog entries of course, like other reserve beans, new product info and cool insider information like testing drinks and much more. Keep up the great work Melody!!
@Purple1 – I have to reply to that one! Good one!! That was wildly popular when I wrote it – had no idea people would get such a kick out of it. Excellent pick Purple!

@Nancy Lynn – That was such a good one too!

This is an easy one for me because your blog posting on the Seattle Store on the 8th floor of the HQ building being open to the public is what got me started reading your blog in the first place. I love to collect Starbucks items (like this cute little apron you are offering) for myself and for my grandkids. So that info you gave in the blog generated a trip all the way to Seattle (from Spokane) to purchase gifts. Been reading the blog ever since.
Melody, I enjoy your giveaways! I also enjoy articles on Starbucks cards!
I really enjoy the articles on new products. I am an avid collector of all things Starbucks so I love when you write about something I need to have, Thanks and keep it up.
I really enjoy the History of Starbucks.
Everything from the drinks, old stores,
new stores and how things came to be.
I also really enjoy reading about your
Visits to different stores each one is like a “field trip”… With me wishing I was on the trip with you!
i always enjoy your articles. Too many favorites to list. But the most recent favorite one is about the book bombing. That was such a fun project!
It’s definitely hard to pick a favorite. I stumble upon some posts that I have to read and have to see. But I also see some that I personally don’t have any interest in myself. Sometimes I read them just to read to see if there is anything I can share with fellow partners or anything new and exciting in my area. Such as the testing. Last year Orlando was testing cherries jubilee mocha, we were testing chestnut praline here in tampa and other stores in between had gingerbread which we didn’t get during the test. I found out about the testing through your posts and I was able to get permission from my store manager to trade with two other stores so the partners at our store had the chance to try them as well as partners from the stores we traded with. Some partners didn’t know about the changes to the gingerbread latte and the new cherries jubilee mocha but it provided knowledge to those partners so if a customer asked we could tell them where it was and recommend something for them. And I love the kids starbucks aprons I’ve bought them for both of my girls and am planning on buying one for our third girl on the way.
My favourite of your posts was last year’s intro of the holiday drinks. I was super excited to get to contribute to it in the form of my gingerbread latte picture. 😀 That picture was taken on the morning of a really special day for me and having it included on here just added to the greatness.

Melody. Ever since you happened across my store in Kennewick, WA and gave your book to a shift of mine I have been slightly obsessed. Haha I follow you on Facebook read your blog abd have your book downloaded on my kindle app. I’ve read several of your articles and I also enjoy reading everyone’s comments. Being a Starbucks barista I feel like your articles and your followers comments help me be a better barista for you enlighten me on what you like or not like about some if our beverages. You had a article about Starbucks stores not getting eggnog lattes this year. I personally don’t like eggnog but lots of people order eggnog at my store. This new chestnut praline latte how ever I feel could either be a huge success or big fail. I know several of my customers will not be happy if we indeed not sell eggnog lattes this year. If they replaced the gingerbread at my store with chestnut praline the impact if that wouldn’t be as major beings we don’t really sell a lot of the gingerbread.
We had chestnut prailine in tampa last year. I don’t know if we are getting it back. We’re getting gingerbread so probably not. But they’re changing the peppermint mocha topping. Not sure if it’s a test or not. I don’t know if you would let me buy a bottle and tippings and ship it to me. I can send you a check for both. Leizaschulte@gmail.com
I enjoyed your recent post of the various new stores opening. I was recently out in the Woodburn area and remembered reading about the new store out there you had reviewed. Had to go check it out.
Edit by StarbucksMelody:
Oh yes, I especially loved that article because it was DENSE with information. I had gotten help from Starbucks headquarters partners to get the data in that article:

Those special concept drive thrus are super cute!
My favorite is the 10 Starbucks to visit on your trip to Seattle 🙂
Edit by StarbucksMelody:
Such a good one too! And that article gets a lot of views regularly. Lots of people want to know what Starbucks things they should visit in Seattle. I’ve gotten emails from people who told me that they worked through my lists!
http://starbucksmelody.com/2013/04/19/top-10-starbucks-vacation-seattle/
I wrote a somewhat updated version of it this year at the tail end of this article:
http://starbucksmelody.com/2014/09/04/a-trip-to-the-starbucks-coffee-gear-store-and-more/
It’s something I need to come back to again and re-do periodically – Starbucks keeps changing!
Hello. My favorite blog post was a relatively recent one. It was the July 30th, 2014 entry about finding the hidden messages in the Starbucks whole bean coffee bags. Before that blog, I had no idea there were even clues on the bags. I loved ‘Where’s Waldo?’ and ‘Where In The World is Carmen San Diego?’ growing up (remember them?), and now I can be frequently seen grabbing Starbucks coffee bean bags off of shelves looking for those clues of theirs and trying to figure them out, heehee.
While I have enjoyed all of your articles, my favorite was The Big Top Ten Vacation Ideas in Seattle at http://starbucksmelody.com/2013/04/19/top-10-starbucks-vacation-seattle/
The article was timely because I was just planning my first trip to Seattle. While I didn’t visit all Top Ten suggestions, I had fun looking for a few of them.
I liked your http://starbucksmelody.com/2014/06/25/2-new-starbucks-reserve-coffees-maui-mokka-and-malawi-peaberry-sable-farm/ post, and generally read your blog to learn about all aspects of coffee (drinks, pairings, places, & people).
Melody, I enjoy your posts about new products and new stores. I like seeing the new store and drink concepts they are creating and hoping that one day I can experience them.
I enjoy reading about the recent coffee con article as a collector myself, I’d like to know about other collectors. I also enjoyed reading about your road trip, visiting multiple stores all over the west coast. I live in Hawaii, it’s hard for me to travel to the mainland, but reading about different starbucks stores and seeing all the cool pictures make me happy. Hopefully one day I can visit one of the stores from your article!
Melody,
I would like to tell you, first of all, I enjoy ALL of your blog posts. It is fun to look at the different topics that inspire you to write. I would have to say, though, my favorite post thus far is the one regarding “the possible downfall of customer service”… It resonated with me, because I saw this being a topic that inspired others in a positive way… and I love me some positive vibes! I know, for me, it gave me a chance to tell the “Melody Starbuck” world how much I love and appreciate Starbucks!
My favorite post was the one about the different style starbucks store. The shipping container store were really interesting.
I loved the article you published about the largest Starbucks collection. My daughter has a few items, mostly Christmas items, that were gifts for her future Christmas tree. It’s always fun to search for new items. I love the pins for my own collection. Thanks for this chance to win an child’s apron and gift card just by commenting. Robin Coxon, robeader53@yahoo.com
I enjoy articles about new products starbucks has to offer but the article I reference the most to family and friends is the one about the mini frappuccinos. It makes us laugh to think of all the skinny minnies out there who can’t finish a tall.
Hello Melody!
My favorite blog that you have published so far would have to be anytime there’s something new going on with Starbucks. You are immediately ontop of the most up to date info and I appreciate that! As a partner I know of certain things that are happening but certainly not everything. I look forward to reading about all of the new things to come that I haven’t gotten the chance to find out about yet. Thank you for doing what you do! (:
Jess Cain
My favorite blogs are the ones about the newest coffee coming out. I enjoy your perspective on nuances of flavor.
I really enjoyed today’s blog because I did not know the year store had children’s aprons. My two grandsons have Star Wars aprons, and this Starbucks one would be perfect for my grand-daughter! Thanks for letting me know!
For me I love to see the new store openings and barista artwork! It is so inspiring and I always share them with my partners.
I am a new Starbucks partner and have really enjoyed your blog! It has given me an opportunity to learn more about where I work. My favorite blog post so far has been about the new roastry in Seatle, it’s such a cool idea! I wish I could move to Seattle so I could work there, but sadly that’s not an opt-in right now (maybe some day).
I realy liked the post about Starbucks at Disneyland: “THE EXTRAORDINARY DOWNTOWN DISNEY STARBUCKS!”
Super cool to see SBUX in the happiest place on earth 🙂
My favourite article was the one you posted after going to the stockholders meeting i think. I enjoy the information about the leadership and inner-workings of starbucks! All the others are interesting too, but those stand out to me. Thanks for the blog… And for the apron for my kids if we win! 🙂
My favorite articles are about products that are the testing phase. Most recently, I was thrilled to hear that coconut milk was not only in testing phase but that it was doing well! I love Starbucks but am allergic to dairy so at Starbucks, I can only choose soy, which isn’t the most healthy choice for me. I am very excited about the possibility of being able to choose coconut milk in future. Hoping…..
There are so many posts to choose from!
I really like the posts about international locations and the offerings they have (beverage or product). I also really like the posts about new drinks that are in the works and when we will be able to order them.
I know that is 2, but I hope that is okay. There is just so many good ones. ^____^
My favorite article was “THE REFILL POLICY AT STARBUCKS: REFILLS ARE REGARDLESS OF ORIGINAL BEVERAGE PURCHASED”, this is also my first know you from this article, it’s help me lot’s without asking Starbucks worker, because my English not very well, your blog really help me up.
Hi Melody,
I love your blog. I really enjoy your articles on products/beverages in the testing phase. About a year ago you wrote an article called, The Evolution Fresh Veggie Burger: A Small Test. Being a vegetarian this was of special interest to me, and I agree with you it demonstrates the food-expertise of Starbucks!
I like the postings about new products, product testing, policy changes, etc. FYI…I just overheard a barista yesterday that corporate is going to stop using the cards for a free drink that are sent to customers when they complain about a new experience. She didn’t know what they were going to replace it with….do you know about this tidbit?
Instead of the paper coupon/certificate it is being replaced with a plastic card (like a SBUX Card). It will be preloaded with $4.00
You will be able to use it for anything in the store ($4.00 value)
It acts as a store credit.
I really love your articles about new stores or store renovations. This is the department that I would love to be in!
I am a partner and have been reading this blog religiously since starting my CM training. My favorite articles are the ones about inspired Starbucks moments, specifically the one by a partner about a customer who’s mother was in the hospital. I shared it with my fellow partners! Keep up the great work, Melody!
Melody it is hard to say my favorite article on here. I will go with my favorite recent article. Love the article about the starbucks collection you had about the collector with the biggest Starbucks collection. The past present and future of Starbucks branding has always been a passion for me.
Hi Melody,
I always enjoy your blogs, especially when you reiterate the refill and photo policies. Keep up the great work.
Eric
Hello! I just subsrcibed to your blog and was pleasantly surprised to find the next post a giveaway! The article I loved lately that you posted was the one about the fall drinks that are being previewed right now. I live close to Orlando and have friends who got to try the Golden Maple Latte at Disney, they haven’t stopped talking about it! I need to try it! I was looking for info on it and your blog seems to be the only site that has anything. Thank you!!
I love the blog, especially all the hints as a starbucks card collector… please keep us posted on any intelligence on the christmas sterling silver card… thx
I love when you post about the new special drinks and tests all over the country, which make me excited and jealous at the same time, I wish i could get all of those test drinks!
I always enjoy reading about the test items that Starbucks tries out, especially the Fizzio drinks!
Hi Melody! You know I love your give always! My daughter just turned four, and I think she’d love the apron AND the gift card. She loves hitting Starbucks with us, and gets a vanilla bean frappucino with one pump of mocha. I don’t have a specific favorite article, but I love all of your card specific posts. I picked up the braille card because of a recent post of yours!
I enjoyed reading the history of the eggnog latte! I hadn’t read that until tonight, but generally I enjoy any post that you write and I love the historical tidbits! Fun info! We ♡ Starbucks!
