Beginning March 22nd, you’ll see a new (really, a returning favorite) coffee in the whole bean lineup at Starbucks! Sulawesi coffee, a single-origin coffee, launches everywhere in the United States soon! Sulawesi returns for a limited time.
This coffee has a full, syrupy body and earthy characteristics similar to Sumatra. but has a distinctively smooth and elegant mouthfeel. Sometimes coffee aficionados describe this coffee as “buttery.” So if you’re looking for a big, full-bodied coffee, but with less intensity than Sumatra, this coffee is for you.

I actually saw this at my local Starbucks today!
It is about time! I worked for Starbucks from 97-2000 and this was the coffee. Starbucks had been slipping it into the coffee of the day every so often near me for about two years and I always asked them to weight it out and grabbed a 1lb. I hope it stays around

Is this replacing Tribute? That usually comes out in March (following Casi Cielo) and is the best “special” coffee all year. Does anyone know what happened to Tribute? Missing it already. 🙁
Sulawesi is famous for dog torture and they consume the meat. They club the dogs in the head and set them on fire while they are alive. If Starbucks continues to buy from them, I will stop being a patron of Starbucks. It’s disgusting to support a country whose citizens behave in this cruel manner. Please help the dogs by banning the coffee of Sulawesi.
